Extraordinary multi-genre artist Kami Kehoe unveils her much-anticipated debut album ‘DRAMA QUEEN’, led by the unapologetic single “hate ur f**king self“. ‘DRAMA QUEEN’ takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster, with songs arranged to reflect Kami’s personal journey through a breakup: from numbness, to unhealthy coping mechanisms, reminiscing, anger, and finally, forgiveness. Kami’s rise to prominence began with “loaded gun”, a song that quickly gained traction on TikTok, earning her over 10,000 followers overnight. Her music encompasses elements of rock, R&B, and funk, all while maintaining a strong foundation in the world of pop.

Kami Kehoe explains, “I titled it DRAMA QUEEN to come off as somewhat sarcastic but also really feeling like I was being too dramatic. Writing each song felt like a therapy session. I would write and release how I felt and then reflect when I listened back to the songs, realizing the emotions I was feeling and accepting them instead of ignoring them.”

The 19-year-old rising star’s background as a drummer shines through her music, which expertly blends old and new soul to create a sound that effortlessly weaves between genres. Kami’s dedication to her craft began at the age of 6, when she started learning drums, eventually writing her own music and performing backup vocals in a band with her sisters.

Following the band’s dissolution at age 16, Kami continued to pursue her passion for music, teaching herself production and engineering from her bedroom. Over the past three years, she has created a catalog of over 100 unreleased songs, constantly refining her unique sound. Now, with the release of ‘DRAMA QUEEN’, Kami is ready to share her talent and vision with the world.

Dian Sheng explores identity, life and love with “Sid” album

Dian Sheng releases his long-awaited first English-language album, “Sid,” a genre-defying collection of songs that includes pop, rock, electronic, and jazz. “Sid” is a deep, meditative exploration of identity, relationships, and self-growth, spanning 29 minutes and 12 seconds across eight tracks. This album is a personal exploration of the complex emotions of mankind and the vitality and jubilation of life.

From the opening track, “Right Now,” Dian Sheng establishes a sense of urgency and reflection. The upbeat song “I Come From Far” examines the connection between the self and one’s environment. It has joyful beats and layers that make you think and feel like part of the narrative.

The jazz ballad “Undecided Love” delves into the complexities of modern romance, featuring tender vocals and instrumentation that showcase Sheng’s delicate touch as a songwriter. “It Will Be Alright” is an empowering anthem about overcoming life’s biggest obstacles, combining electronic beats with a rock influence.

“Seventeen” is bursting with youthful energy, and its production captures the restlessness and emotionality of adolescent life. The album concludes with “Shining As Your Name,” and the final few minutes of this piece alone evoke a strong sense of hope.
