Lil Durk’s Son Allegedly Shoots Stepdad in Shocking Domestic Dispute, Details Emerge

Lil Durk

Lil Durk‘s 10-year-old son is at the center of a domestic dispute that ended with the child allegedly shooting his stepfather. The incident, captured on camera, shows the boy grabbing a weapon from his stepfather, Joshua Pippens, and firing it during a heated altercation involving the child’s mother.

The footage, which has been widely circulated, depicts the tense scene where the child, dressed in a red t-shirt and shorts, allegedly takes the gun from Pippens, who is seen in orange, and fires it. As the confrontation spills into the street, a single gunshot rings out, and Pippens collapses.

From his hospital bed, Pippens has spoken out, defending his actions and providing context to the incident. He claims he was not the aggressor, suggesting that the child was influenced by his mother. “As y’all can see, I was not the aggressor,” Pippens stated on social media, explaining that the boy acted under his mother’s direction.

Pippens further hinted that the altercation may have been fueled by a custody dispute over another child the couple shares. “That’s why I got custody of my kids and she don’t,” he asserted, defending his position and emphasizing his intentions to protect his parental rights.

While rapper Lil Durk, father of seven, has not directly commented on the incident, he posted a cryptic message on social media on July 8th that could hint at upcoming music. “Save that money for them kids kids kids kids kids,” he wrote, possibly alluding to his next album.

Benji Miller captures the weight of loving someone through depression on “Hey Darcey”

Benji Miller

R&B artist Benji Miller has crafted a deeply empathetic, poignant track with “Hey Darcey,” a song about the emotional toll of watching the slow fade of someone you love. The track is the second single from his forthcoming debut EP, “Love Or Pain,” and offers a reflective look at an artist who isn’t afraid of having tough conversations with honesty and heart.

Built with warm, understated R&B production that lends the track an intimate sound where every melodic choice feels intentional. The production is free of dramatic arrangements, giving space to the emotion and putting the vocals into the spotlight. Benji Miller’s honest, understated performance has a quiet openness that gets to the uncertainty, helplessness, and hope that are at the heart of the story.

“Hey Darcey” is about those who support loved ones with depression and the confusion, concern, and emotional exhaustion that is often left unspoken. The reflective tone is an encouraging reminder that compassion, patience, and presence still matter, even when solutions seem impossible to find. “Hey Darcey” is a story for the ones who may be going through the same struggles, and reminds us that music can still be one of the most powerful ways to connect.
