Taylor Rooks Breaks The Internet With Subtle Nod To Drake’s “ICEMAN” Shoutout
In true Drake fashion, the rap heavyweight sent social media into a frenzy during the debut livestream of his new “ICEMAN” series, an immersive rollout for his forthcoming album. But while fans were already buzzing over unreleased tracks and signature quotables, one moment in particular had the internet raising eyebrows and hitting rewind, a lyrical name-drop that seemed to point directly at popular sports journalist Taylor Rooks.
On a track reportedly titled “Supermax,” Drake paints an intimate moment with a woman named Taylor, offering up a reflective bar, “I was talking to Taylor over drinks, and it was getting deep / ‘Not everyone can handle this pressure and, in the city, you’re the national treasure,’ that’s what she said to me.” It didn’t take long for listeners to connect the dots, and Taylor Rooks wasn’t about to let the moment float by unnoticed. Shortly after the livestream aired, Rooks jumped onto Instagram and shared a screenshot of the “ICEMAN” stream with a caption that mirrored Drake’s lyric word for word, “That’s what she said to me.”

The post was casual, yet unmistakably deliberate, confirming suspicions that she was indeed the Taylor in question. And just like that, the rumor mill was set ablaze. Was it a friendly moment immortalized in verse? A deeper connection hinted at through lyrics? Or just two high-profile figures vibing over drinks and dialogue? Rooks didn’t offer any further details, and frankly, she didn’t need to. Her subtle quote was all it took for fans to spiral into speculation, with “Taylor Rooks” trending across platforms by nightfall.
It’s not the first time Drake has turned casual conversations into lyrical gold, but the muse responds so directly and so stylishly. The interaction between the two, though brief and veiled in ambiguity, adds an extra layer of intrigue to an already headline-making livestream. Whether it’s a one-line name drop or the start of something more, Drake knows how to spark conversation, and Taylor Rooks knows exactly how to answer back without saying much at all.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream
Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.
The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.
The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.
Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
