“Someday” by Lina Fouro stirs a heartfelt ballad of love, grief, and a soaring legacy of memories
Lina Fouro boldly embraces her vulnerability and never hesitates to leverage her incredibly personal experiences in her newest single, “Someday.” The song invites listeners to explore her heart in a beautifully unfiltered and broken form that resonates in the mind long after the final note. Emerging from Toronto’s dynamic music scene, Lina Fouro transmutes her profound grief into a universal healing anthem inspired by the sacrifice and resilience inherent in a mother’s love. It’s a stirring tribute to her late mother, who intimately and monumentally influenced her life and artistry.
The compelling piano motif in “Someday” sparks a conversation with hopeful memories, enveloping audiences in an emotional yet gentle storm. The haunting melody floats above a minimalistic pop production, allowing Lina’s crystalline vocals to take center stage, unwavering and rich with unspoken emotion. The lyrics possess a poetic gravitas, particularly with phrases such as “You and I will meet someday,” capturing both the ache of absence and the promise of eventual reunion. This artistry avoids pretentiousness, enhancing the theme of remembrance without slipping into sentimentality.
The chorus evokes a healing vibe, acting as an earworm driven by genuine sincerity rather than a flashy hook. It aligns perfectly with the song’s tender narrative, crafted with the expertise of only someone who has truly loved and experienced loss. Recorded at Newcomb Studios, which overlooks the serene expanse of Lake Ontario, this location provides an ideal creative sanctuary. Every element, from the subtle orchestral swells to the crisp clarity of the instrumental mix, feels intentionally crafted to preserve the song’s emotional purity.
Visually, Lina’s collaboration with director John Petrella and producer Kice Soroor elevates “Someday” into a multi-sensory experience. The music video, released through Moviedom World, mirrors the song’s tone: soft, introspective, and rich with symbolism that nods to memory, legacy, and maternal love.
“Someday” is a sonic keepsake highlighting Lina Fouro’s growth as a songwriter. Those navigating the murky waters left behind by grief without allowing it to define them will find a part of themselves in this music. Lina Fouro offers a moment of shared understanding, reminding listeners that love, especially a mother’s, never truly fades; it simply evolves, transcending time and distance, as echoed in melodies like this.

Paul Terry, Aptøsrs & Cellarscape unite on bold new album “Alternative Piano Club”
Combining his three artistic alter egos, Paul Terry presents an awe-inspiring new 12-track album, “Alternative Piano Club,” written in collaboration with Aptøsrs and Cellarscape. This is an album-length voyage of music that blends acoustic, rock, and piano-driven cinematic sounds.
Torn between this complex emotional spectrum, all the while the piano remains at its core throughout. Paul Terry opens his “Memento Mori (Chromogenic Phase)” contemplatively, creating a solemn, reflective mood. Cellarscape’s “Three Years Of Roses“ is warmer, whereas Aptøsrs’ “Questionnaires“ is much more textured as a large, sculptural post-rock.
“Dave’s Theme,” written by Paul Terry, musically expands the narrative with a touch of cinematic elevation that aligns well. “We Shape The Clouds” by Cellarscape is fluffy and heart-warming, “Writers Behind The Curtain” is somber, more narrative. We are all together in “A Place We Made,” an honest, intimate, emotionally grounded space.
The project contains vocal warmth and cultural depth in the song “This Is My Home“ by Silas Miami & Lana Crowster. Proceeding in a totally different direction is the stronger emotional clarity of Paul Terry’s acoustic storytelling on “Any Time You Want To Fly” and “No Sleep Has Come.” Cellarscape presents a wide, spacious atmospheric moment in “Cygnus,” while Aptøsrs ends with “Rust Mountain (Monochrome Piano Version),” a simple gem that brings the project full circle.
The mixing of Sam Okell and Adam Noble, the mastering of Alex Wharton and Robin Schmidt have, in many ways, brought their polish to it while still making it feel human. “Alternative Piano Club” is a work entity, where three musical personalities met and talk mind in the same emotional language.
