Cardi B Claps Back at Joe Budden’s Apology, “You’ve Been Changing Your Tone on Me Real Heavy”

Cardi B

Cardi B took to Twitter Spaces to blast Joe Budden, accusing him of trashing her every release and urging him to back off. Budden briefly responded on X, denying accusations about cocaine, lap dances, and more. He insisted he loves Cardi and meant no offense, expressing his anticipation for her upcoming album.

In a new podcast episode released today, Budden went more in-depth, apologizing and taking accountability for upsetting Cardi, even though he didn’t agree with all her accusations. He stated he won’t let anyone “suppress [his] voice” and will continue discussing her despite his previous promise.

Cardi B has now responded to Budden’s apology, seemingly settling their spat. “I got love for you too Joe, but you’ve been changing your tone on me real heavy the last 3 years whether music or personal,” she wrote. “Like when I was going through real sh*t with my marriage in December, you went on your platform and tried to make that about somebody else and what they got going on. I know criticism comes with the territory, but sometimes the narrative y’all decide to run with is soooo toxic. It’s all love though, see you soon.”

Based on Cardi’s post, it appears she might be willing to put the past behind her, though it’s unclear if Budden will change his approach. What do you think of Cardi B’s response to Joe Budden’s apology? Do you think this settles their spat for good? Share your thoughts in the comments and keep an eye on Honk Magazine for more updates.

That’s not a joke. My lawyers will be like, ‘It’s a joke.’ But it’s not a joke.”
