Something that is always exciting to hear is an artist who is fearless in their approach. Having such a strong presence, as well as daring energy to them that makes you buy into them, as you hear their desire to be something great shine through in the music in a major way. Everyone artist doesn’t have that feel but when they do it’s something to truly marvel at and that’s what Rich Pesos brings.
Rich Pesos is a multi-talented accomplished hip-hop artist, songwriter, music producer, and also the owner and CEO of Rich Dreams, an independent record label. Rich’s music is a culmination of his strong love for music and a deep desire to pursue a career in the music industry. He credits his successes to his mother, whose hard work and relentless pursuit of excellence made an indelible impression on him and his brother growing up, and has been his inspiration since. Consequently, over the years, Rich has continually invested his time and energy in creating fresh bodies of work and forming collaborations with artists, producers, and creatives from all over the world.
Hello there, welcome to Honk Magazine. Thank you for taking out time to respond to us. Can you tell our readers about what really inspired you to write music?
Rich Pesos – My inspiration for music comes from being introduced to new artists by my brother as a young teen
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
Rich Pesos – I would say about a decade ago
Can you tell us what is so unique about you and your music?
Rich Pesos – I feel that I share a lot of my life experiences with my fans I’m ok being vulnerable on songs I really focus on making music that’s relatable and I feel that’s what draws in listeners
Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?
Rich Pesos – My 1st ever show I did I remember freezing up in the beginning lol
Can you tell us about your latest releases and what inspired you to create them?
Rich Pesos – My latest releases are MVP which is a song where I am confidently staking my claim as the best. More 2 the story is a song dedicated to my mom and I dive into a lot of my memories of things that happened in our household when I was younger
Can you give us a brief insight into your upcoming projects?
Rich Pesos – I have tons of music on the way most notably I feel like I have the song of the summer on the way called “Ride or Die”.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Rich Pesos – Do your research and create a plan for your career
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Rich Pesos – Map out your week, set goals, celebrate every win, outwork everybody, build a team
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) that you are passionate about?
Rich Pesos – I enjoy watching sports, and movies and spending time with my family
Any last piece of advice for those artists who just started making music?
Rich Pesos – You have to believe in yourself and your music 1st before anyone else will believe in you and your brand

Paul Terry, Aptøsrs & Cellarscape unite on bold new album “Alternative Piano Club”
Combining his three artistic alter egos, Paul Terry presents an awe-inspiring new 12-track album, “Alternative Piano Club,” written in collaboration with Aptøsrs and Cellarscape. This is an album-length voyage of music that blends acoustic, rock, and piano-driven cinematic sounds.
Torn between this complex emotional spectrum, all the while the piano remains at its core throughout. Paul Terry opens his “Memento Mori (Chromogenic Phase)” contemplatively, creating a solemn, reflective mood. Cellarscape’s “Three Years Of Roses“ is warmer, whereas Aptøsrs’ “Questionnaires“ is much more textured as a large, sculptural post-rock.
“Dave’s Theme,” written by Paul Terry, musically expands the narrative with a touch of cinematic elevation that aligns well. “We Shape The Clouds” by Cellarscape is fluffy and heart-warming, “Writers Behind The Curtain” is somber, more narrative. We are all together in “A Place We Made,” an honest, intimate, emotionally grounded space.
The project contains vocal warmth and cultural depth in the song “This Is My Home“ by Silas Miami & Lana Crowster. Proceeding in a totally different direction is the stronger emotional clarity of Paul Terry’s acoustic storytelling on “Any Time You Want To Fly” and “No Sleep Has Come.” Cellarscape presents a wide, spacious atmospheric moment in “Cygnus,” while Aptøsrs ends with “Rust Mountain (Monochrome Piano Version),” a simple gem that brings the project full circle.
The mixing of Sam Okell and Adam Noble, the mastering of Alex Wharton and Robin Schmidt have, in many ways, brought their polish to it while still making it feel human. “Alternative Piano Club” is a work entity, where three musical personalities met and talk mind in the same emotional language.
