Lil Wayne’s Dream Team, The Iconic Collabs He’s Still Wishing For

Lil Wayne, the legendary rapper with a career filled with star-studded collaborations, recently shared his ultimate dream collabs during a candid interview on Not Just Football with Cam Heyward. Despite having worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, Weezy revealed a few icons that still top his wishlist.

At the pinnacle of his dream collaborations is none other than the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. Reflecting his deep admiration for Jackson’s unparalleled talent and influence, Wayne said, “Michael Jackson,” when asked about his dream team.

But the star power doesn’t stop there. Wayne’s next choice is another musical legend: Prince. “The second one would be … not even the second [but] 1A would be Prince. You already know that the other two,” Wayne shared, emphasizing the significance of Prince in his musical dreams.

Paying homage to the roots of hip-hop, Wayne included the genre’s fallen legends, The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur, in his dream lineup. “If we’re going to do rap, the other two have to be Biggie and ‘Pac, plain and simple,” he continued.

Among living artists, Lil Wayne singled out Lauryn Hill as a contemporary artist he’d love to work with. Known for her soul-stirring vocals and profound lyricism, Hill’s collaboration with Wayne promises to be groundbreaking. The closest this dream has come to reality was last year when Wayne made a surprise appearance alongside Ms. Lauryn Hill and the Fugees at their concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, performing a rendition of “A Milli.”

Lil Wayne continues to inspire and collaborate in other ways. Recently, he assisted basketball star Flau’jae Johnson with a verse on her song “Came Out a Beast,” from her project Best of Both Worlds. Flau’jae described working with Wayne as a “surreal experience” that pushed her to new heights.
