The EP comprises six captivating tracks, each with its own unique story and message. The title track, “Can’t Stop Now,” was written while Lele Rose was commuting between San Diego and Los Angeles for luxury hotel performances. Stimulated by the movie “The Fabulous Baker Boys”, Rose pondered where these performances might lead her. The song serves as a reminder to never give up on your dreams and to keep pushing forward.

“Finding Myself” and “Smile” were written during the pandemic, when the world was shut down. These songs were born out of a desire to help others find themselves and spread positivity even in the darkest times. Rose found solace in songwriting and the piano, and these tracks reflect her personal journey of self-discovery.

“Lianna”, the fourth track on the EP, was written in the beautiful surroundings of Woods Cove, Laguna Beach. Inspired by her close friends and a new love interest, Rose explores the uncertainty of relationships and the vulnerability that comes with opening up to someone new. The song is a heartfelt expression of emotions and showcases Rose’s ability to connect with her audience on a deep level.

“Your Heart’s in Mine”, the fifth track, was written for San Diego’s Holiday Magic project, a charity for children’s hospitals. This heartwarming song serves as a reminder that no matter where you are, you are loved and cherished.

French Montana Faces Backlash for Studio Session with Lara Trump, Fans Question His Loyalty to Immigrant Roots

French Montana

French Montana is stirring up controversy after his recent studio session with Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law. The Moroccan-American rapper shared a photo and video with Trump, sparking a wave of criticism from fans who argue that this friendship clashes with his own immigrant experience.

Lara Trump, who is married to Eric Trump and serves as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, recently endorsed her father-in-law’s re-election campaign, a move that’s been met with criticism due to the Trump family’s contentious stance on immigration. Fans quickly reminded Montana of Trump’s history, including an executive order banning travel from predominantly Muslim countries and Project 2025’s plans to restrict immigrant rights.

Montana’s alignment with Trump comes on the heels of his controversial appearance with Andrew Tate, a figure known for his far-right views. This series of associations has left many fans disillusioned, questioning the rapper’s commitment to his own immigrant roots.

Drake’s Toronto Nightmare, Booed Off Stage at Limp Bizkit Concert

Drake

Drake’s 2024 just hit another low. The Toronto native faced a surprising reception at a Limp Bizkit concert in his hometown on July 24. The iconic nu-metal band, currently on their Loserville tour, found themselves playing host to an unexpected guest – and an even more unexpected reaction.

During the concert, frontman Fred Durst announced Drake’s presence, expecting a warm welcome. Instead, the crowd erupted in boos. “I thought Drake was your homie,” Durst said, trying to quell the audience’s reaction. “Drake’s my homie.” He even dedicated the next song to the rapper, but the gesture did little to sway the audience’s mood.

Social media quickly lit up with reactions to the incident. One user on X commented, “I doubt many Drake fans and Limp Bizkit fans are synonymous with one another.” Another noted the irony, saying, “I wasn’t expecting them to like him, but it’s still funny that it happened in Toronto.” A third user humorously added, “Welp, guess Drake is gonna take a selfie with oversized pants, a Korn T-shirt, and a box of biscuits,” poking fun at the rapper’s potential petty response.

This hometown rejection adds to a string of challenges for Drake this year. His feud with Kendrick Lamar saw Lamar’s “Not Like Us” become the year’s biggest hit, overshadowing Drake’s musical efforts. Despite contributing to Camila Cabello’s latest album, Drake hasn’t released a chart-topping hit in 2024. Even his diss tracks aimed at Lamar fell flat with the public.

Drake’s recent appearance on producer Gordo’s album, DIAMANTE, offers a glimpse of his latest musical direction, reminiscent of his 2022 house music pivot in Honestly, Nevermind. With new music reportedly on the way, the rapper is likely to release an album before the year ends in an attempt to reclaim his spot in the spotlight. But after being booed in his own backyard, he might need to start winning back his home fans first.
