Country Great Pamela Hopkins Delivers Mature Sound On “Straight Shooter”

Finally, we are getting a new single from one of the Country greats Pamela Hopkins. Straight Shooter slated for a July 29th release is probably one of the most anticipated singles of 2022, After the huge success of her last single One Too Many, and one of my personal favorite Country tracks ever One More Last Kiss; Pamela Hopkins is taking the country world by storm. Straight Shooter follows in the wake of these singles with another majestic performance in which Pamela pushes the envelope of her vocal styles combining mid-alto narrative while accentuating each cadence with her signature soprano twang. Yes, the Country girl can really sing, while maintaining her grounding in the style which makes her shine. Straight Shooter is just this, a straight shooter song highlighting the artist’s drink of choice. Yeah, we are not dealing with global warming or political metaphor, we are celebrating a drink with friends. “You know I don’t drink beer, I don’t drink wine, I’m a straight shooter, all the time. I like the burn going down.” Hey if this doesn’t make you want a drink with this girl, what would? Of course, from an artistic perspective, this song could be riddled with metaphor of a person who does not care to be lied to and manipulated, just give her the straight story and everything will be fine. Or just give her a “Whiskey on Ice” because that is just what she likes. Instrumentally, Straight Shooter has checked the boxes of effective grooves, inciting that line dancing rhythm with the walking bass and very tight drumming. The guitars offer chord progressions which help shape the lyrical structure, with just the right amount of melodic patterns thrown in to harmonize the vocals.

Not only can Straight Shooter find its place on any Country commercial radio playlist, but it would also most likely challenge for number one in rotation. The infectious chorus coupled with the dynamic hook the vocals provide make this a sure hit in this field. With close to a million streams and counting the ever-growing catalog of Pamela Hopkins proves without a doubt, that there is plenty in the arsenal for entertaining and danceable tracks to follow. The production is quite solid as well, a very professional and mature package that fills the audio spectrum while maintaining a solid bottom end. In my opinion, Straight Shooter perfectly balances the catalog of Country gems Pamela is already amassing, this one is straight-up fun, not meant to be challenging. This is ok for artists to show this side of themselves, as fans can relate to the artist on a personal level with greater ease. So grab a round of drinks for the party, just remember Pamela Hopkins is a Straight Shooter.

Music Stars Come Together From Rock To Pop, They’re All United In One Cause – To Save The Planet

“The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis. It is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences.”— Al Gore

“Born Free” album was released on Minds Behind the Music label only a few weeks before the world came face-to-face with yet another wave of extreme weather when England and Northern Europe fell victim to scorching temperatures. Recent events aside, it hasn’t been a good year for Planet Earth. While monsoon rains have unleashed disastrous flooding in Bangladesh, East Africa was hit with a drought that’s brought millions on the brink of famine. The climate is changing and the most alarming part is that scientists say the worst is yet to come.

The previous fundraising album by Minds Behind the Music included such stars as Simon Kirke of Bad Company, Mungo Jerry and Ric Sanders of Fairport Convention. Thanks to these legendary artists, the release saw mainstream distribution. Now Brad Walsh, Lorenzo Cabanizza, Jay Elle, Tom Tikka, The Remnants, Doctor Zee and many others have come together to raise awareness about the plight our planet is in. Since almost nothing speaks to humans more than music, the label and the artists are hoping that the world will listen … before it’s too late.

Kate Stewart’s New single “The Game” is a royal flush

Kate Stewart

Kate Stewart presents a new single called “The Game,” which displays the realm of not getting played by anyone. This track “The Game” reflects on an opportunity to show power and get back to yourself when you’ve fallen astray. Lyrically saying how it feels to know exactly what you want when you want it. It’s all about playing your own game, one where you have control of the outcome and finding a more self-assured version of yourself, all the while having your own full house.

“The game is the game” is just something that I and all my friends have always said. Whenever I try to explain it to people they never understand, you just have to hear it in context to get it! However I thought it would make a really cool title for a song, and in this instance ‘The Game’ symbolizes not letting anything or anyone get in the way of you or what you’re trying to do. You just have to look forward and enjoy the ride, looking back will only hinder all the progress you’ve made. Don’t let anyone dull your shine, the games the game!” – KATE STEWART
