During that run in 2018, Kanye released a song with T.I. called “Ye vs. The People.” In this song, T.I. was considered as the “people” who wanted to challenge Ye on his beliefs. “That track was a breath of fresh air musically, and I think that with all of the conspiracies, assumptions, and speculation that surround him and me, I don’t think nobody else could have had that conversation with him as eloquently as that record came out,” T.I. said. “I feel like it was just a perfect record, that only he and I could have done.”
