Everything You Need To Know About Pop Artist, Ullie Swan

Everything You Need To Know About Pop Artist, Ullie Swan

Ullie Swan is an indie dark pop artist from France.  She’s a singer, songwriter, multi musician and music producer and just released her new album titled “6%” on every digital platform.
She is self-taught and produced it on her own from the first note to the mixing in her recording studio in the South of France. 6% is about human emotions, it’s like a musical healing process.  It’s a dark pop, electronica, ambient album. with influences like: Archive, Portishead, Radiohead, IAMX, Muse, Lana del Rey.. Her songs deal with apologies, depression, Alzheimer disease, personal reconstruction, self confidence, doubts, growing up in a strange world far from children’s dreams, invisible scars, and pain, love, positive mindset, law of attraction.
It all started with classical training when she was six years old. She learned the flute at the music conservatory for 10 years but wanted to stop to learn guitar and piano on her own. Music production has been part of her daily life since she was 20 years old and she never stopped since. She learned watching tutorials online, practising a lot, sharing with professionals, asking some questions..
Over the years, she built her recording studio “Swaman Productions” because she didn’t want to use what she had learned just for her personal projects. “Music becomes immortal if it’s recorded. Music should not be reserved for an elite. Recording your voice is an experience to live, it’s like jumping in a parachute. It’s all about emotions and pleasure.”
She also recently recorded from her phone the Kamala’s Harry’s historical speech to create a song called “Kamala’s speech”, available everywhere..
A report released in 2018 looked at the Grammy nominees and those who made it on the year end Billboard Hot 100 chart between 2012 and 2017. The research revealed that only 2 percent of producers are women. Ullie founded in January a group to try to bring together all the “female music producers of the world”. They can help each other, share on every subject, organize some meets up in different cities, do collabs.. “Female producers are so under represented year by year, it’s important to gain visibility for the next generations. We are all connected. When a woman succeeds, all women win. You’re not alone. We’ re in this together, and stronger than never, it’s time to change these statistics.”

The Heroic Enthusiasts unleashes a luminous sonic revival with its new single, “Wake Me When It’s Over”

The Heroic Enthusiasts

The song “Wake Me When It’s Over” by The Heroic Enthusiasts, co-written and produced by the esteemed Stephen Hague, signifies the duo’s return with their mesmerizing latest single. This second unveiling, a segment of the much-anticipated ‘Illuminate’ record, strikes a compelling blend of nostalgia between the band’s post-punk inclinations with a modern, shimmering twist.

Comprising James Tabbi and Thomas Ferrara, the masterminds behind the New York duo have skillfully fashioned a timeless and rejuvenating auditory landscape. James Tabbi’s heartfelt lyrics and melodic approach enthrall the audience, eliciting a feeling of urgency and surrender. The song speaks to our weariness when the world becomes overwhelming to bear, expressing a desire to retreat until the upheaval subsides. Nonetheless, it refrains from dwelling in darkness. Thanks to Thomas Ferrara’s distinctive guitar work, featuring counter-melancholic melodies that light up the musical experience, infuse it with a brighter, almost anthemic quality. His riffs are simultaneously evocative and enchanting, weaving effortlessly between the lyrics to craft a sonic brilliance that feels comforting yet invigorating. Their synergy ignites, adeptly merging introspective themes with a hook-laden, upbeat sound that compels listeners to replay the song.

“Exit Path” by Lab Rat delivers a gritty anthem of escapism from a toxic cycle

Lab Rat

The debut UK single “Exit Path” by Lab Rat presents a visceral gut-punch of emotion. It is a compelling fusion of alt-rock framed within a grunge rap soundscape with unfiltered storytelling prowess, drawing from the dark undercurrents of his childhood trauma. Dylan James, the British-born artist behind Lab Rat, now based in Australia, channels his deeply embedded pain into a cathartic release through music. The track chronicles the artist’s vulnerable recount of his life, depicting the suffocating weight of an adulthood-seeking escape route from a past that relentlessly haunts him. Through its introspective lyricism, steeped in trauma, addiction, and the endless quest for solace, Lab Rat walks listeners through the intricate corridors of mental health battles, brutally honest and deep relatability.

Dylan James’ candid approach is evident from the onset of the first verse, which places listeners squarely in James’ shoes as he openly confronts his profoundly personal and universally tragic demons with searing honesty. The song’s narrative in its second verse focuses on a former partner, underscoring the shared semblance of their harrowing reality. Both verses culminate in a chorus that speaks to a coping mechanism all too familiar: turning to drugs to quell the resounding echoes of suicidal thoughts and distressing old memories.

What’s striking about “Exit Path” is the juxtaposition of the haunting yet hypnotic chorus, reflecting the inevitable anthem for the cyclical nature of adversity and the fleeting moments of optimism amid relapse. Dylan’s gritty vocals, paired with darkly atmospheric instrumentals, give the track sharp rhythmic vibes and exude a polished façade of urgency that is impossible to ignore.

Beyond being a solely musical charm, “Exit Path” offers a profound testament to the resilience and endurance desiring solace for individuals grappling with destructive patterns. Lab Rat provides an unyielding portrayal of the human experience through this piece, extending solidarity to those trapped in their battles for inner peace.
