‘Catch 22’ With Twin Sister Duo, Jaye Madison.

Hi Jaye Madison! Thank you for speaking with me today!

Absolutely. Excited to chat with you!

You all are getting ready to release a new song, ‘Catch 22’! Will you tell our readers about that?

Yes! Catch 22 is dropping 2/22/22! It’s very special to us because this is the first release from our debut album, produced by Multi-platinum Grammy Award- winning Mikal Blue & Bassist of Top-charting band Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dean Dinning. They really helped bring our music to life and we are so excited to share it with the world! Here is the link to stream it: https://show.co/hRyX1mn

What was the inspiration behind it?

This coming-of-age song creates an introspective experience for the listener as the lyrics take you on a journey of nostalgia back to the confusion & hopefulness of early adulthood. It also acts as a sigh of relief for those in their early twenties hearing us as twenty-somethings sing about the reality of not having life figured out.

Who would you say are some of your biggest musical influences?

We grew up influenced by the rawness of 70’s & 80’s anthems from the likes of Heart, Tom Petty, and Fleetwood Mac with the lyricism of singer-songwriters like Alanis Morissette, Dolly Parton, and Tracy Chapman. We write with vocal melody in mind first because vocals are our primary instrument. Everything we do is filtered through the lense of , “How do we make these lyrics hit you in the heart with the perfect harmony?”

What was the first time you all realized that you all wanted to pursue a music career?

I don’t think there was a specific moment. It’s what we naturally were. We were born artists. It was in everything we did growing up. We finally accepted that calling around 17 years old when we made a plan to move to Nashville and pursue our dreams together.

What keeps you both motivated to keep creating?

One of the best compliments we ever received from someone we look up to greatly is that our music sounds like it is made from necessity and not convenience. That pretty much sums it up. We HAVE to keep creating. It’s who we are. Life inspires us and if we aren’t writing and making music, it all just stays bottled up inside. What good is a gift, if you just keep it to yourself? We want to share these songs with the world and see what kind of positive impact they can have.

How do you keep a balance between artist life and normal life?

We actually look forward to the day where those two lives are just one life, ya know? Right now, we are hustling, making the dream happen, spending more money than we have, and running uphill. When we get to the mountaintop of getting to do what we love and having that fund “normal” life? That’s the dream.

What has been the most surreal moment of your career?

We took a leap of faith when it came to working with MIkal Blue out of Revolver Recordings. We almost didn’t send him our songs, thinking, “Oh, he might be more interested in our stuff on the second album.” We didn’t think we were ready to work with someone who has worked with artists like Jason Mraz, OneRepublic, and Colbie Caillat! We almost took ourselves out of the game before even playing! We hit send on that email of original songs asking him to be our producer for the project. It was scary as hell. When we received an almost immediate and enthusiastic, “YES”, we knew exciting things were on the way for us.

Do you have a dream bucket list job you would like to achieve?

We would love to perform on The Opry stage and have all of our family and friends who have supported us through the years in the audience. What a moment that would be.

What does ‘making it’ look like to you?

Waking up excited to do what we love every day! Sharing our artistry with the world and knowing it makes a difference. Creating a community through our storytelling and music.

Do you have any career advice for artists who are just starting out their music career?

Action is better than inaction. Just take giant, messy, imperfect leaps toward your dreams. Very few things are unfixable. If you don’t like something later, delete the post, re-record, or start over. The only thing we know is that if you don’t act, nothing can happen. Trust your instincts, and don’t sit on your pile of creative gold for too long. Get it out there! Most importantly, find people you can trust and keep them close. This can be a messy process too in this business. If something or someone falls through, you learn, and you become better. It’s all part of the process. Don’t be so scared to make the wrong decision that you make no decision.

Any other upcoming projects coming up that we should be on the lookout for?

François Marius and Bérénice creates a tender acoustic pop confession with “Billie Jean”

François Marius

François Marius’ latest release, “Billie Jean (Acoustic Version),” cuts to the quick and lets raw emotion take over. What you get, ultimately, is a personal pop experience that feels closer to a secret than to either a spoken-word show or a performance. The initial soft strum of an acoustic guitar creates a mood that is soft, sweet, and quietly interesting. It’s a full-throated, backbones-out piece, and every note is screaming its potential. It’s simple but riveting, and it proves that sometimes less is more.

François Marius and Bérénice’s voices sound right together, their voicings intermingle so naturally that they seem accidental or spontaneous, harmonies that emerge from nowhere. The way they speak to one another is very, I mean, they really love each other. That even makes the track seem like a conversation about feelings.

The two artists are clearly close. Romance and Eros are not just ideas, and they inhabit every note that lingers and every minuscule shift in tonality. The harmonies soar effortlessly over the acoustic foundation, a blend of sweetness and strength. It’s a sign of strength and also of a willingness to be hurt.

“Billie Jean (Acoustic Version)” is stripped of any fancy production or theatrical effects, it wins you over with its frankness and forthrightness. Sandy François Marius’s impersonation is fresh and real, endowed with depth and softness thanks to Bérénice’s presence, which definitely makes everything more perfect. This acoustic performance serves as a stark reminder of the elements that do connect people: the singer, his guitar, and a story from the heart.

RoHaNa and Morpheus von Dobenhausen paint love in shadows and light “WHEN A BOY LOVES A WOMEN”

Morpheus von Dobenhausen

RoHaNa feat. Morpheus von Dobenhausen, in this new release, “When a Boy Loves a Woman,” This track, recorded in winter, has a hint of gothic style that blends emotional restraint with atmospheric elegance. The track is all about RoHaNa’s emotional singing, which fits perfectly with the carefully crafted production. Her voice shows desire, weakness, and dedication without being too loud, letting each note ring out. The result is a sound that affects people on a personal and universal level. There is a sense of innocence that permeates, capturing the delicate nature of love in its purest form.

Morpheus von Dobenhausen is a guest singer who deepens the track’s emotional journey. Their voices work together to make a conversation of feelings that is both clear and mysterious. The song doesn’t go too fast, so the listener can feel the mood and atmosphere as they go through its subtle changes.

“When a Boy Loves a Woman” is unique because it strikes the perfect balance between modern pop and gothic restraint. The result is a soundscape that is both creepy and easy to listen to. It is a moving story about love and devotion, told with grace and quiet strength.

With this first release, RoHaNa confidently joins the scene, thanks to XanadumusiX’s never-ending creative drive, even when things get hard in the winter. This release not only introduces a new artist with significant potential but also showcases a bold artistic direction in which emotion, atmosphere, and story come together to make a lasting impression.
